Every Tuesday people queue here. We turn nobody away.
DaN Basel hands out food, runs a clothing boutique and helps where the authorities stop helping. Without red tape, without denomination, without anything expected in return.

What we do
Food
Every Tuesday at Birsstrasse 58. Registered recipients from 11.00, guests from 16.00.
Boutique DaN
Clothes, shoes and household goods. Tuesdays, same hours.
Social services
Coming with you to offices, forms, listening. When nobody else is responsible.
Christmas party
A celebration for everyone who would otherwise be alone. Every December.
Volunteering
Lend a hand on Tuesday or help behind the scenes.
Recognition
What a Basel association has grown into – all the way to Geneva.
A Basel association with a voice at the UN
DaN Basel has held consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council since 2019, speaks in Geneva and has received the Swiss Peace Award. The work stays the same: food on Tuesdays at Birsstrasse.
